Past Bing Future Bing: The Soundtrack Vol. 1 acts as the musical backdrop for the second full run (and fourth overall run) of Chris Bingham's vlogging series Past Bing, Future Bing. The premise, briefly summed up, is a conversation through time over the span of a year; on alternate days, 'Past Bing' films short vlogs about his day-to-day life, and 'Future Bing' films the remaining days. During the year of 'Future Bing', the videos are posted in date order, giving himself (and the audience) a glimpse into changes over time. The first run ran between January 2011 and January 2013, and encompassed a full 366 days of Chris' life. The run for the soundtrack - 2020-2021 - was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other life events in Chris' life.

Musically speaking, PBFB Vol. 1 is a full spectrum of the musical stylings of High Five Spaceship, Dreaming Pills, and pure, unadulterated Chris Bingham. As a soundtrack for a personal project, it's bound to be. Some tracks - such as Soya Milk Depressed - are not created specifically for the album, but others - such as Please Stay Safe (released as a single) - are.
